The format for the 2007 Las Vegas Desert Classic has been slightly amended.
The semi-finals and final of the 2007 Las Vegas Desert Classic will now take place on Sunday
8 July at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
The first round will now be played over two days, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 July, with
eight matches played in each session.
The second round will take place on Friday 6 July, with the quarter-finals on Saturday 7
July.
Furthermore, following a recent PDC Board Meeting, it has been decided that for for all
major PDC-organised tournaments with the exception of the Blue Square UK Open the defending champion will be guaranteed a place in the following year's
equivalent event.
This would mean that, should that player not be in the relevant automatic qualifying
positions in the PDC Order of Merit, this player would be awarded the final place ahead of the player in the last automatic position in the standings.
