Halex® CyberPro Cricket Challenge Winners

The Halex® Cybermatch tour moved in January to Philadelphia to the Pennsylvania Rae Chesney Memorial Open.

John Ferrell, owner of Brisco Darts in England, took a few chances at the CyberPro and finally beat it.  He plans to take his Halex BTX-22 back to England to set up in his shop. Canadians, Shawn Brenneman and Steve Womack, won their boards in Philadelphia as well.  Womack beat the CyberPro on his first try. He tried several more times just for the fun of it, but was unable to duplicate his stellar performance on his first go around.

At the Easy Money Open, Ryan Barnette was the first to beat the CyberPro, then Darin Young.  Stacy Bromberg, the only women yet to beat the CyberPro was next, followed by local player, Mitch Payton. They had this to say about their accomplishments.

Darin Young: I really like the game.  Not everyone has a practice partner to play against.  If you play against the machine, you can set the skill level on the one that will give you the most challenge, whether you’re a beginner or pro.  If you play the CyberPro, you better bring your darts because it will give you a whooping if you don’t. So, for all of you guys out there who have a big head and think you are the greatest, just go ahead and play this game on pro and see what you’ve got! If you start beating this game 50% of the time on the pro level, I will buy all you guys drinks! You’re the king!  It is definitely not unbeatable, but it is very competitive!

Ray Carver challenged the Cyber-Pro and finally defeated the master winning one of the electronic games.  ”It’s definitely a challenge.  It took me more tries than I expected to beat the game.”

England’s John Ferrell plans to put his Halex® BristleTech board up in his dart shop back in England.

Ryan Barnette: I like the board because it gives you a tough game. I tried to win the board in Chattanooga and Philadelphia, before I finally took it out in Lexington. It’s a great challenge.

Mitch Payton:  The game will give anyone really good practice.  That’s for sure!  It took me too many times to beat the CyberPro.  The resealable BristleTech is really interesting. I’d like to see this game at more tournaments.

Stacy Bromberg:  I’m really glad I beat the Pro, I really wanted one of these games. The board has a realistic championship level challenge that keeps me sharp.  I enjoy the remarks it makes to you and it’s a great to make a solo practice session more interesting and fun.
