On January 18th, 2004 , Canadian Dart Productions Pro Singles hosted another fine display of
darts at the Moose Lodge in Simcoe ON. After the round robin groups consisting of 65 legs of darts finished, the top eight players, Andre Carmon, Don
Cowan, Shawn Brenneman, Jay Barlow, Jim Long, Edwin Mason, and Don King, advanced into a knockout format to set up two semi final matches.
The first match between Carmon and Brenneman was a thrill to watch. Carmon took a 2
games to nil lead, but Brenneman came storming back to level the match.
In the final leg, Brenneman was sitting on 32 with Carmon back at 147. It looked like Brenneman was going to win with three on the trot, but Carmon delighted the crowd with a specatular 147 finish to advance to the final.
In the second semi final, Barlow couldn’t hold off Mason who advanced to the final and sent
Barlow packing.
The final, best of seven between Carmon and Mason, was determined early as Carmon took the lead and never looked back winning 4 games to 1 over Mason.
Canadian Dart Productions had another Pro Singles on February 22, too late to include the
results in this issue. However, there will be another Pro Singles event on March 14th, at the Moose Lodge in Simcoe, ON, and all are welcome to come and
test their skills.
Check the Events Calendar for further information. Watch for next year’s schedule to be finalized over the summer months. Canadian Dart Productions promises to move the Pro Singles around next season to accommodate more players participating with more prize money to win.
