Dear BEN,
I just recieved the latest issue of BEN, and like always I opened it and started looking
through it straight away. Since there is not much money to be made in darts, unless you are one of the top shooters in the world, most of us that attend
one or two big tournaments a year only have a small amount of bragging rights with our local peers as far as glory goes.
I read the article about the Desert Classic III regarding the Wild Card spots
with great interest because I was able to come up with some of the points needed to qualify when I attended the latest Camelia Classic in Sacramento
California. I saw that I was up near the top of the standings with some of the darters in the US.
The thing is, I was very disapointed when I saw that my name appears as John
McCann when it should be Josh McCann.
I am not sure if it is just a typo or did the tournement directors at the Classic mess up. I am sure that there are people from the Sacramento Valley Darting Association (SVDA) that can vouch that it really was me and not someone named John with the same last name that earned those points. The SVDA is the local league organization that helps put on the Camelia Classic. Is there anything I can do to rectify this?
Thanks,
—Josh McCann
The SVDA had it right.
We apologize for the typo and your name in the Wild Card Race table in Off The Wire of this issue has been corrected. It has also been corrected in our web site on-line at www.bullseyenews.com in both tables.
Congratulations on the fine finish at the Camellia Classic this
year and we hope to see you either as a competitor or spectator at the Las Vegas Desert Classic this June 28-July 4 at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.
